Sport Mobility Grant

As part of its Territorial Plan for Sport Development, voted in 2018, the
Collectivity of Saint-Martin wishes to support sports mobility by setting up a
Sport Mobility Grant (BMS) system.

The mission of the Sport Mobility Grant (BMS) is to support pupils/students -
athletes and provide them with financial support so that they reach their goals in the
realization of their sports careers.

This scholarship is structured in 2 distinct levels in order to better respond to the diversity of
profiles of the recipients/candidates and to align the system with the reality of sports levels
encountered:

BMAS — Mobility Grant for Sports Accession
• Objective: to support students or student-athletes at the regional level or
interregional, in construction of courses, wishing to integrate a structure
of accession (Pôle Espoirs, Sports Section, high school...).

BMES — Mobility Grant for Sports Excellence
• Objective: to support student-athletes playing at a national level and/or
international, recognized on a ministerial list or identified by their federation as
strong potential, in their integration of structures of excellence (Center of
Training, Pôle France, NCAA D1 university, INSEP...).

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Sport Mobility Grant, student-athletes must
You must comply with the following conditions:

• Hold a French baccalaureate or a title justifying the exemption or
The equivalence of this degree for enrollment in the first year of higher education
or be a student-athlete in pursuit of academic and sports secondary studies;

• Be a full-time or part-time student at an educational institution
school and sports;

• Be identified by a sports structure as an Espoir, Elite or Excellence athlete
in a sport and be involved in a training and competition program
from or to the top level;

• Resident for at least 5 years or be licensed in Saint Martin in a sports club
and be held in a structure outside the territory.

Financing conditions

The Sport Mobility Exchange (BMS) finances tuition fees, accommodation costs, transport costs, as well as material costs.
 
The beneficiary can benefit from this aid for a maximum period of 4 years, whether from
consecutively or not.

The amount will be fixed by the deliberation of the Center for Excellence and Education through Sport.

Funding criteria and modalities

The award of excellent sporting mobility aid is based on several criteria:

• Criterion 1: assistance granted to athletes according to school fees.
• Criterion 2: assistance granted to athletes according to the transport costs associated with
remoteness from their homes.
• Criterion 3: assistance granted to athletes far from home according to costs
accommodation.
• Criterion 4: Assistance granted to athletes who must buy equipment for the practice of their sports discipline (Acquisition of equipment: small equipment, large equipment, various subscriptions).

For any request:
• Valid identity document (CNI, passport); if a foreigner outside the EU: title of
(valid stay)
• Valid identity document of the legal representative
• RIB in the name of the candidate
• Certificate of residence of the candidate (accommodation certificate or lease contract)
• Copy of diplomas obtained
• School reports for year n-1 or school certificate
• Proof of admission to the host institution

For tuition fees:
• Proof of tuition fees (administrative and/or educational fees)
• Detailed program of the intended schooling or training, on school letterhead

For transport costs:
• Proof of air transport costs (quote or invoice)

For accommodation expenses:
• Proof of accommodation expenses (quote or invoice or lease contract)

For material costs:
• Proof of material costs (quotation or invoice)

Additional documents in case of renewal:
• Copy of the school certificate (application for renewal of aid).
• Supporting documents for expenses incurred in year n-1 (request for
renewal of aid).

Deadline for filing is midnight on October 30, 2025.
