As part of its Territorial Sport Development Scheme, voted in 2018, the Collectivity of Saint-Martin wishes to support training and professionalization by setting up a training and professionalization assistance system in sports professions (AFPS).
The AFPS is intended to support students and trainees in vocational training, within the framework of mobility, or not, leading to the exercise of a sports profession in the territory of Saint-Martin.
Eligibility
To be eligible for Training and Professionalization Assistance in Sports professions, candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Have lived in Saint-Martin for at least 3 years;
- Be of legal age at the start date of school or training;
- Be of French nationality or be a national of a member state of the European Union or
have a valid residence permit (equivalent to work or student authorization);
- Be part of a training process aimed at the above objectives.
Financing conditions
Assistance for training and professionalization in sports finance professions The costs of
schooling or pedagogical, as well as the accommodation costs, in addition to the devices
financial resources mobilized to guarantee their professional project and according to the candidate's situation.
Funding criteria and modalities
The award of Assistance for Training and Professionalization in Sports professions is based on two criteria:
- Criterion 1: aid granted according to school or educational fees
- Criterion 2: mobility aid granted according to accommodation costs
The amount will be fixed by the deliberative body of the Center for Excellence and Education through Sport.
The payment of the aid is only made to the provider in accordance with the conditions of the agreement established with the latter.
The benefit of the aid is subject to a commitment to return to the territory of Saint-Martin within six months following the end of the beneficiary's studies or training, and to devote the time necessary to the exercise of a professional activity in the profession or in the field concerned by the financing obtained.
This duration is one and a half times the duration of the training required to obtain the qualification.

training, qualification at the end).
• Annual school or training schedule.
• Quote or invoice for tuition or training.
• Notification of acceptance or refusal of funding, depending on the situation.
For accommodation expenses:
• Proof of residence in the name of the beneficiary (rental lease or rent receipt).
