Missions
The sports educator who holds the Brevet Professionnel de la Jeunesse, de l'Éducation Populaire et du Sport (BPJEPS), speciality "Sports Educator" mentioning "Fitness Activities" option "Weightlifting, Bodybuilding" and "Group classes" exercises in autonomy and safety his activity of animation, using the technical supports of weightlifting, bodybuilding and group classes within the limits of the regulations. He is responsible for the pedagogical aspect. He/she ensures the safety of third parties and the public under his/her responsibility. He/she is responsible for the activity project which is part of the structure's project.
This training, given in continuous control of knowledge, is intended for people wishing to exercise a profession in the professional sector of fitness.
The training will aim to prepare for the profession of group class leader, capable of conducting activities of :
- Design of sports projects in the field of fitness activities
- Conducting sessions and cycles of initiation, discovery and animation in the field of fitness activities in group classes
- Conducting a learning cycle
- Participation in the communication and promotion of the structure
- Mastery of the computer tool
- Participation in the operation of the structure
- Reception of different audiences
Prerequisites
- To be 18 years old at the latest during the training
- To hold the PSC1 or equivalent diplomas delivered in the last 10 years (SST, PSE1 or PSE2 in the course of validity)
- To present a medical certificate of non-contra-indication to the practice and the teaching of the activities of the form option "Weightlifting, Body-building" and "Group lessons" dating less than one year (Cf. appendix)
- Valid identity card, passport or residence permit
- Satisfaction of the various prerequisite and selection testsUse the models in the appendix for the certificates and attestations

- Conception of sports animation projects in the field of fitness activities
- Conducting sessions and cycles of initiation, discovery and animation in the field of fitness activities in group classes
- Conducting learning cycles
- Participating in communication and promotion actions of the structure
- Mastering the computer tool
- Participating in the functioning of the structure
- Welcoming different publics

Thediploma of the BPJEPS speciality "Sports Educator" mention "Fitness Activities" option "Weightlifting, Bodybuilding" and "Group Classes" allows to exercise as an employee in a fitness room of the commercial sector, of the associative sector, or as an independent. It gives its holder the professional qualification necessary to teach and lead fitness activities in the two "Weightlifting and Bodybuilding" options (machines, bars, dumbbells, etc.), cardio-training activities (ergometers, etc.), recovery activities (stretching, etc.), and other activities.), recovery activities (stretching, relaxation...) and "group classes", with or without music, of the following type: cardiovascular activities using techniques such as LIA, STEP, aerobics... and muscle strengthening and stretching activities for all audiences.
