Missions

Five-yearly review for BEESAN or BPJEPS AAN holders.

The practice of the NSM profession is subject to a review every 5 years: it must be done before December 31 of the 5ème year following the initial diploma, or the last NSM review.

The training, which lasts a minimum of 24 hours spread over at least 3 days, includes:

  • a refresher course with first aid evaluation (be up to date with your first aid refresher course at the time of the course;
  • regulations (knowledge update);
  • rescue with evaluation.

The study of one or more subjects chosen from among those closely related to the professional life of NSMs can also complete this training.

Prerequisites

- Be up to date with their PSE1 or PSE2 training.
- Present a medical certificate of no contraindication to the exercise of the profession of lifeguard dating from less than three months, established in accordance with the model appearing in appendix III of the present decree.

Objectives of the training

The duration of the training is set at 21h (3 days).

It aims to maintain skills and acquire new knowledge related to the evolution of the profession in the field of water safety.


- Evolution of the professional environment :
- different places of practice of aquatic activities ;
- teaching and animation of aquatic activities ; - evolution in terms of security ;
- health and security of the participants ; - regulatory framework of exercise.


- Rescue procedures:
- implementation of specific techniques and materials taking into account new developments;
- understanding of strategies to be implemented to ensure the safety of users and prevent risky behavior;
- presentation of concrete cases to understand the intervention in case of incident or accident related to the safety of the environment;
- behavior and gestures to be made in case of incident or accident
