Missions
This training aims to acquire the necessary skills to obtain the BP JEPS and to practice the profession of Sports Educator, option Aquatic and Swimming Activities, allowing to supervise and initiate the practice of these physical activities, within the limits of the regulatory frameworks.
The BP JEPS AAN prepares students to become lifeguards. As such, he/she supervises and guarantees all types of public in all places (natural or artificial environment) within which he/she sets up a project.
He/she supervises discovery, animation and education activities: school swimming, sports swimming, swimming activities related to the person (aquatic awakening of very young children, health and well-being activities, activities for seniors), the various "aqua" activities (aquagym, aqua fitness, aqua bike...).
Skills:
- To teach the different swimming lessons;
- To lead awakening and initiation actions for all publics, in the field of aquatic activities and swimming;
- To ensure the rescue and the safety of the different types of practice places;
- To conceive animation projects in the global project of the structure;
- To participate in the functioning, the communication and the maintenance of the structure.
Prerequisites
- Be a job seeker registered at the Pôle Emploi for more than 6 months, or at the Mission Locale;
- Hold the required BAC level unit;
- Be at least 18 years old, with a professional project focused on teaching aquatic and swimming activities;
- Be a holder of the teaching unit " first aid in team of level 1 " (PSE 1) or " first aid in team of level 2 " (PSE 2) in the course of validity or its equivalent in the course of validity, or with the update of the continuous training ;
- Have passed the selection tests (written test, motivation interview);
- Produce a medical certificate of no contraindication to the exercise of the activities practiced during the preparatory training for the diploma and to the accomplishment of the test prior to entering the training, for those who are subject to it (Copy included in the application file);
- To be admitted to the National Water Safety and Rescue Certificate (BNSSA) examination and if necessary to produce a certificate proving that he/she is up to date with the verification of his/her skills;
- To produce a certificate for the 400-meter freestyle swim in a maximum of 7 minutes and 40 seconds, in accordance with the model included in the application file.

UC 4- Mobilize the techniques of aquatic activities and swimming to implement a session, an animation or learning cycle in the field of aquatic activities and swimming
