Kick-off for excellence!
Yesterday, Monday August, student-athletes made their return to the CPT, Centres de Perfectionnement Territoriaux, in basketball , soccer and athletics . Although the vacations were shortened for these youngsters, motivation was high.
From the very first minutes, the tone was set: the goal is sporting and academic excellence.
The morning was punctuated by welcome speeches from elected representatives, the principal and principal, Madame Velayoudon, and the presentation of uniforms. Dominique Démocrite Louisy, the school's ème Vice-Présidente, and Mr. Conner (Smfa Saint-Martin) also toured the classrooms to meet the athletes. In the afternoon, notebooks and pens returned to the schoolbag to make way for training!
This wonderful project was made possible thanks to the collaboration of CEES and Région académique Guadeloupe, not forgetting the ongoing support of the Collectivité de Saint-Martin Our News.
We would also like to thank the soccer league, Smfa Saint-Martin, the basketball committee, CTBIN, and the athletics club, Avenir Sportif, for their investment.
One thing's for sure: we're pulling out all the stops to ensure that STEP UP student-athletes GET THEIR GAME ON! We are ALL mobilized!
