As part of its “From field to impact” program, the Center for Excellence and Education through Sport (CEES), a public administrative establishment in Saint-Martin, organized, on February 9, 2026, an educational group for student-athletes integrated into Territorial Sports Centers (CST).
On this occasion, 15 student athletes benefited from the intervention of Jacob Brown, former NFL (National Football League) player, now an entrepreneur, international speaker, author and personal development coach.
This sequence is fully in line with the global support system deployed by CEES, aimed at supporting the success of the triple school, sports and citizen project for young people in the region.
Through an interactive format combining experience sharing and direct exchanges, the student-athletes were led to structure their goals, strengthen their commitment and develop concrete benchmarks for progress, discipline and failure management.
In particular, the intervention made it possible to introduce a constructive approach to failure, through the concept of “fail forward”, and to strengthen the understanding of the requirements associated with a high-level career, in connection with schooling and life choices.
The workshops offered, including a medium-term projection exercise through the writing of a personal letter, contributed to the development of a more autonomous, responsible and committed posture among young people, in line with the educational objectives carried out by CEES.
This intervention, carried out with the support of the partner La Sammana, was also extended by a conference for parents, organized at the Grand Case Beach Club. This made it possible to strengthen educational coherence between the student-athletes, their families and the supervisors, and to promote support aligned with the requirements of the course.
The CEES would like to warmly thank Jacob Brown for his intervention, as well as for coming from the United States and the time devoted to the beneficiaries in order to inspire them and share his sporting and leadership experience.
The CEES also extends its sincere thanks to La Sammana for its invaluable support in carrying out this action, as well as to all the people involved who contributed to the success of this event.
