During this first quarter of 2026, the Center for Excellence and Education through Sport (CEES) resolutely pursued its mission: to support young people from Saint-Martin through a path of excellence combining academic success, sports performance and citizen engagement. Between inspiring educational actions, events in favor of women's sport and detection campaigns throughout the country, the last few months have illustrated the dynamic carried out by CEES and its partners. Team Saint Martin top of the rankings at Sister Islands Basketball Tournament
On May 15th and 16th, the Jean-Louis Vanterpool Stadium Sports Hall hosted the first edition of the Sister Islands Basketball Tournament (SIBT), an international U18 men's tournament organized by the Northern Islands Territorial Basketball Committee, with the support of the Center for Excellence and Education through Sport (CEES) and the Territorial Fund for School Works (CTOS).

Fun workshops to learn civic values
In early May, 43 students from the Centre of Excellence and Education through Sport (CEES) participated in several workshops led by the Soualigan Slangs association as part of the Languages, Arts and Cultures Festival (FLAC). The objective: to learn to "work as a team to solve challenges" and to "cultivate differences" to progress.

Saint-Martin's U18 team won the first edition of the Sisters Islands Basketball Tournament this weekend against the United States, 33 to 30. A successful first edition, which highlights the Territorial Committee's ambition to make the island a must-attend event for Caribbean basketball.
